What is the enrollment process?

  • Eldersburg Eldercare is licensed by the Office of Health Care Quality an agency of the  Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
  • Contact us at 410-795-4686 or 301-253-2764 for more information or simply come by at your convenience for assistance and a personal tour
  • Bring the potential participant for a visit, an important part of the enrollment process
  • An appointment is recommended during the week
  • Visiting on weekends and during evening hours is by appointment only
  • The Physician’s Assessment and Initial Order form and all other documentation must be completed prior to starting
  • Visit with us and you'll have the opportunity to meet the nurse, social worker, activity director, program assistants and drivers References are available upon request

What about Insurance and Finances?

Medical Adult Day Services may be covered by Medical Assistance, Senior Care Funds, Long-Term Care Insurance, VA Funding and other funding sources

  • No pre-payment or deposit required
  • Billing is done twice a month for the days attended A minimum of 2 days a week is required

Can I just drop off the participant when I need to go somewhere?

Participation should be planned and regular; not sporadic or episodic.

Does the participant need to come every day?

The participant does not need to attend every day, however a minimum of 2 days a week is required.

The participant has difficulty locking and unlocking their door. How can you help?

Our drivers will assist the participant from door to door. Just inform us of this need and our drivers will be happy to help.

Yes.

How far do you go to pick up?

We currently pick up in Carroll County parts of Howard, Baltimore, Montgomery, and Frederick Counties

What is included in the daily cost?

Door to door transportation, breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks and most activities.

How and when do I pay?

Billing is done on the 15th and 30th of each month. A payment envelope is included with your bill. Payment must be sent to the Eldersburg office.

How much notice do I need to cancel a day?

We ask that you provide us with at least 7 days notice.

Is the cost covered by Medicare?

No, Medicare does not cover the cost of any Medical Adult Day Center, however Medicaid also known as Medical Assistance may cover costs in some cases.
